G.I. Joe

G.I. Joe: Strike is a 2D action game where you play Snake Eyes, the legendary G.I. Joe character who faces one of the most difficult missions: fighting against the deadly ninja army of his nemesis, Storm Shadow.

G.I. Joe: Strike's game mechanics are pretty simple. Your hero starts each level in the center of the screen and after a couple seconds, enemy ninjas start coming at him from both sides. When your enemies are just the right distance away, you have to hit the correct side of the screen to attack and destroy them. If you fail, Snake Eyes will let down his guard for a second ... more than enough time for his enemies to attack him.

At first the combat system seems a little rough, but the truth is it has a very fun rhythmic component. And as you advance you'll discover several types of different enemies: some you have to hit several times, others change sides after they're hit, etc. You can even use weapons to destroy the hardest of enemies.

G.I. Joe: Strike is a high-quality action game that's fun in its own right, though fans of the G.I. Joe franchise will undoubtedly love it the most. The reason: the many nods and references to the saga's characters and locations.
